My name is James, owner and artist here at Shore Thing Tattoo. I've been dreaming of opening my own business since I can remember. I have ventured into all sorts of activities and experiences that have lead me to where I am now. Tattooing has always been a passion of mine. Before I was the artist, I was a canvas. Art has been engrained in who I am since I was a child. I enjoy photography, marketing, painting, and street art. My experiences have created the style of art I want to create. I was a little scrappy kid growing up skateboarding and spray painting cool designs here and there. Now that I am older, I travel and explore other parts of the world to pull inspiration from other cultures and artists. American traditional is by far my favorite style of tattooing. It is tough, bold, and makes a long lasting statement. Although I do pull from all kinds of mediums, some of my favorites are traditional Japanese works, psychedelic art, and fine art oil paintings. To look back and pay homage to those who created the American tradition that is tattooing is very special to me. I really look forward to pushing the boundaries or tattooing and continuing my journey. Shore Thing Tattoo is a place where everyone can come and enjoy an amazing experience of getting a great tattoo in a cool clean environment. I hope to see you soon!

Hello there friends! I am the shop apprentice here at Shore Thing Tattoo and I am so excited you get to be a part of my journey. From welding to photography to tattooing, I have always been fueled by art and my ability to think and create outside the box. I don't like to say I have a "style" when it comes to what I like to tattoo because who likes to be labeled. I love and respect traditional tattooing and all the styles that have formed from that. My favorite things to tattoo are designs pulled from the trad world but I add myself to the craft. I love polka dots, cute faces, and color. Through my time as an apprentice, I have come to love black and gray traditional as well, so I am sure the more I learn the more I will grow to love other styles and techniques. Without allowing a student to learn in their craft, we would never have masters in that craft. Getting tattooed by me, an apprentice, is giving me the ability to succeed in my craft. I look forward to tattooing you soon!!!
